Read-only inspector session — you can view every record and the audit log, but nothing here can be added, corrected, or changed.
Acquisition & disposition records
NexusFFL is not ATF-approved software — no software can be pre-approved. Before using it to
satisfy your recordkeeping obligations, you must submit a variance request with a sample
printout to your local ATF Director of Industry Operations per 27 CFR 478.125(h) — use the
"Compliance packet" button below to generate it. Pattern flags are dealer-review aids, not
legal determinations — verify against current ATF instructions.

Put on layaway
Firearm stays logged as on-premises inventory until the sale is completed and a disposition is recorded.
Correct an entry
The original entry is never deleted or overwritten. This creates a new corrected entry and logs the change.
Bulk correct 0 record(s)
Applies the same correction to every selected record. Each one keeps its own original entry and gets its own line in the audit log — this isn't a silent overwrite.
Attached documents
Scanned 4473s or NFA paperwork for this record. PDF, PNG, or JPEG, up to 15MB.

Staff accounts (with real passwords, not PINs) are managed separately under "Staff accounts."
Staff accounts
Real, individually authenticated accounts. Each action in the audit log is attributed to whoever is signed in — sharing a login defeats that.

API & webhooks
Connect a POS/ERP system to NexusFFL. API keys authenticate requests to /api/v1/*; webhooks push a signed HTTP POST to your own endpoint when an acquisition or disposition is recorded.

Electronic Form 4473 —
This captures NexusFFL's own record of a Form 4473 transaction, built from ATF Form 4473 (5300.9), Revised August
2023. It is not an ATF-certified electronic 4473 system and does not submit anything to NICS or
ATF — your staff still contacts NICS/your State point of contact directly. ATF proposed a further revision to
Form 4473 in a May 2026 Federal Register notice; verify current question wording against the official form.

Question 21 — answer Yes or No to each
ID presented (Section C, Q26.a)
Buyer certified and signed on . Section B is now locked — matches the paper form's own rule that changes after certification require a corrected photocopy, not a silent edit.

4473 Vault
One searchable archive of every Form 4473 on file — native e4473s captured here, and any older paper 4473s you've digitally scanned in. Search by buyer name, transaction #, or firearm serial/make/model/caliber (ATF Ruling 2022-01, condition 8).
Digitally scan a legacy paper 4473
Upload a scan of an old paper 4473 to bring it into this same searchable archive (ATF Ruling 2022-01, conditions 16–18).
Electronic storage notice
ATF Ruling 2022-01 requires 60 days' written notice to your local ATF Industry Operations Area Office before you can stop printing paper 4473s. This generates that notice letter — you still need to send it yourself.
Bulk import from CSV
Works with exports from FastBound, Orchid eBound, a distributor purchase order, or any spreadsheet. Paste CSV text or choose a file, then map columns. Rows whose serial number already exists on this server are skipped, not duplicated.
Cycle count
Scan or type each serial number you physically find. Anything left unchecked when you finish is a discrepancy.
